Delete your TradeWorld Express account

You can remove your TradeWorld Express account at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your information when you do.

How to request deletion

From the app or website (fastest)

Sign in, open Account → Profile, scroll to Delete account, and confirm with your password. Deletion happens immediately.

By email (if you can't sign in)

Send a deletion request from the email address on your account to privacy@tradeworldexpress.com. We'll verify your ownership and process the deletion within 7 working days.

What gets deleted

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
  • Saved delivery addresses.
  • Wishlist and shopping cart.
  • Authentication credentials and any active sessions.
  • Push notification tokens registered to your devices.
  • For vendors: your business name, tagline, description, logo, cover image and KYC documents.

What we retain (and why)

  • Order, payment and tax records tied to past purchases or sales. Nigerian tax law and Central Bank anti-money-laundering rules require us to keep these for several years. We strip your personal details from them but the financial records remain.
  • Wallet ledger entries for any escrow, commission, or payout movement involving you. Same legal basis as above.
  • Server access logs retained for security/fraud investigation, for up to 90 days.

None of the retained data carries your name, email, phone number or address after deletion is complete.

When you can't delete yet

For your safety and the platform's, deletion is paused if:

  • You have an order in progress (not yet delivered, cancelled or refunded).
  • You are a vendor with active customer orders.
  • You are a vendor with funds still in your wallet.

Wait for those to resolve, withdraw your wallet balance, orcontact supportfor help — then try again.
